In soft formations; S.P.C in sedimentary and meta formic rocks (15-25)
In medium hard formations; marble, serpentine limestone etc. (25-40) S.P.C
In hard formations; limestone, schist, sandstone, andesite etc. (40-60) S.P.C
In very hard formations; granite, basalt, dacite, etc. (60-80) S.P.C
In extremely hard formations; quartz, quartzite, chert (80-100) S.P.C
In very hard and cracked formations; impregnation (> 100) S.P.C diamond is used S.P.C (stone in 1 carat) amount. The impregnated diamond mentioned above is a type of diamond drill that must be operated with very high pressure and speed.
